Staying at Broome Bird Observatory provides the best opportunity to experience the diverse and wonderful birds and other wildlife of Roebuck Bay and the adjacent bush and plains. You are able to wake up in the bush and take an early morning stroll down to the bay or along one of our excellent trails, as well as participate in the daily evening bird log and experience the beautifully clear and starry night skies.
We offer a variety of accommodation, including a self-contained cottage, as well as single, double and family units in the accommodation block (linens are provided but you need to bring your own towels). Our small campground provides a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Broome caravan parks. Amenities include toilets, hot showers, BBQ area, and our "Shadehouse". The Shadehouse is a fully-equipped bush kitchen/dining shelter with a large gas stove, several refrigerators, and plenty of seating. It also provides excellent views of our birdbaths, which can be enjoyed at any time of day.

All of our campsites are un-powered. Because of the small size of, and narrow access to, the campground, it can be difficult to manoeuver caravans longer than 16 feet into our standard campsites. However, we do have an overflow campsite than can generally accommodate caravans up to 20 feet long.
Camping fees are $15 per person per night.
The chalet is a fully self-contained rustic cottage with two bedrooms (each with two single beds), a living/kitchen area, and an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, gas stove and oven, and all basic cooking and serving implements. The chalet comfortably sleeps four adults, and an additional two can be accommodated on the fold-out sofa. We require a minimum two-night stay for the Chalet.
$165 per night (1 or 2 people), $25 per night per additional person

All of the units include bed(s), desk and chair, closet, and floor fan. Air conditioning units are also provided in most rooms, with the exception of several of the single rooms. Guests in the unit accommodation share toilet, shower, and kitchen/dining facilities with the campground guests.
The Family Room includes a queen-size bed and a bunk bed (two singles). It is the perfect accommodation for a family with children or for a small group of budget travellers.
The Double Room provides roomy accommodation for couples in one queen-size bed.
The Bunk Room includes one bunk bed (two singles) and is an excellent budget option for two friends.
Our four single rooms include one single bed for independent travellers or group travellers seeking the privacy of their own room.
