Experience Broome’s varied birdlife and hone your skills on one of our popular courses. Our courses are scheduled according to the birds’ seasonal movements and the best viewing conditions. Our wardens will guide you through the region’s most productive sites, showcasing its diverse habitats and the migratory shorebirds we’re famous for.

Birdwatchers can struggle with shorebird viewing, not only because the many species have subtle differences in their identification, but it can also be hard to get close enough to them. Our courses open up this world by bringing shorebirds closer than ever. Even seasoned shorebird watchers will be blown away by the shorebird viewing and stunning backdrop provided by Roebuck Bay.

All full courses include:

  • daily tours, activities and educational talks

  • accommodation at the BBO (except for the final day of the course)

  • transfers to and from Broome

  • all meals

  • use of BBO scopes

If you are hoping to see particular bird species, see our combined species lists for records from recent courses.
